Alita LaMartina – Executive Director – joined the Damascus House in June, 2015 with an extensive Customer Service background and also brings over 20 years of personal recovery as an additional asset. She is grateful to be part of the long, proud and successful history that is Damascus House.

Meet Our Staff
Todd Poorman, CAC-AD – Program Director, Outpatient Services Coordinator – came to Damascus House in December, 2021.
Jessica Moore, LGPC, CAC-AD – Deputy Clinical Director – Jessica joined Damascus House in April, 2022 and brings her experience as a supervisor and clinician. Jessica has a background in both mental health and substance abuse treatment and greatly enjoys working with this population. Jessica received her Master’s degree from Grand Canyon University in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. Jessica has a passion for working with individuals with substance use disorder and helping them to better understand their addiction and mental health symptoms.
Lisa Limbers CSC-AD, Addiction Counselor – Came to Damascus House in March, 2022 and brings her experience as a Substance Abuse Counselor. Lisa has an Associates Degree in Drug Addiction Counseling, and a Bachelors Degree in Social Work. Lisa is furthering her education at Salisbury University, and always brings new and refreshing ideas to the groups. She has a passion for helping people, and involves the consumers in a monthly community outreach program.
Charlene Lindsey, CSC-AD – Counselor – Charlene has been working in the field of substance abuse for over 20 years and later became certified as an Addictions Counselor, to better serve the complex needs of this population. Charlene brings a spark of energy and compassion.
Shirley Baskerville CSC-AD – Addiction Counselor – Shirley came back to Damascus House in September, 2022 and brings with her a wealth of knowledge as a counselor, a Deputy Director, and a Director. Shirley received her Associate Degree in Applied Science from the University of Baltimore.
John Brandon, CSC-AD (Mr. Pete) – Counselor II – has been with the Damascus House for over 25 years. Mr. Pete began as a House Manager and then returned to School to become certified as an Addictions Counselor. Mr. Pete has an undying passion for the work that the Damascus House pledges to our clients.
Residential House Mangers – The House Managers are on their own journey of recovery and offer experience, strength and hope to the clients.
Barbara Jackson – Operations, Administrative Support Staff – Barbara joined Damascus House in May, 2022 and comes to us with a background in Office Management and Customer Service.
